Today’s
class was a peer review day via outlines and an explanation
of the format of the paper. Since this paper was an analysis
paper and the students were struggling to grasp what
‘analysis’ is the set up for the paper seemed to be
formulaic, though the students did have the ability to alter
the organization to suit the strengths and weaknesses of the
paper. Within the opening paragraph she wanted the students
to introduce the topic, name of the article, author and
journal followed by the thesis. After the students organized
their introduction they broke off into groups to do reviews
on outlines.
