Crusius and Channell's text fits the requirements of the department and supplements the requirements and goals of my classroom. The information in the text introduces and provides the students a ground level knowledge on persuasion and argument, so that during classroom discussion the students have the ability to draw from the book and build upon their knowledge. The text covers the use of visuals as a form of persuasion and the use of visuals within a text. In addition to suggesting strategies for students to follow when writing, the text gives students sample essays of persuasive and argumentative writings.
